Chablis Vauprin 2021

Domaine Roland Lavantureux

Very enthusiastic about the 2021 vintage in general, and this Vauprin did not disappoint. The balance is beautiful, with the acidity still very present at this stage and the wine not yet having gained much weight. That feels very much in line with both the vintage and the site: 2021 in Chablis is widely seen as a cooler, more classical year, and Vauprin sits up near Lignorelles at high altitude, one of the higher village sites in the appellation, which helps explain the wine’s freshness and cut. The typicity is clear, unmistakably Chablis, and the finish is nice, clean, and persistent.
