Start A very forward vintage, and not a particularly serious style of Bourgogne, but a very enjoyable one. The fruit is explosive and red-toned, to the point that it sits slightly ahead of the structure and pushes the wine a little out of balance. The texture is good, though more about pleasure than real depth. Even so, the wine speaks clearly in Faure’s signature, and for a Bourgogne it has a remarkable sense of identity. The finish is pleasant rather than especially long, but the wine remains highly enjoyable throughout.
