DOMINIO DEL ÁGUILA Albillo Viñas Viejas
White Wine, Albillo
2014 – Elegant – A comparatively cool season produced a fresher and more restrained expression of Tinto Fino. The wines show vivid red and black fruit, moderate concentration, lively acidity, and refined tannins. They favour aromatic clarity and balance over the richness found in hotter vintages.
2015 – Powerful – A warm, sunny, and relatively dry vintage produced excellent ripeness and concentration. The wines are deep and generous, with ripe black fruit, broad texture, substantial tannins, and considerable ageing potential. The strongest examples combine richness with enough freshness to remain balanced. The Consejo Regulador rated the vintage Excellent.
2019 – Classic – A hot, dry season produced ripe, concentrated fruit, but sufficient acidity and cool nighttime conditions preserved balance. The wines combine dark fruit, aromatic intensity, refined tannins, and excellent freshness, giving a complete and ageworthy expression of Ribera del Duero.
2020 – Powerful – A warm, early season produced generous ripeness, although harvest timing and autumn conditions created variation between estates. The best wines are concentrated and expressive, with ripe black fruit, broad texture, and substantial structure, while retaining enough acidity for ageing.
