I cannot hide that this is my favourite wine of the line-up. A classic vintage, already showing remarkable drinkability at this early stage, with a beautiful balance between fruit, acidity, and intensity. That sense of ease likely comes from the vintage itself, with its more moderate ripeness, working together with the 100% whole bunch to give the wine both energy and control. The texture is excellent, even if it falls just short of the very top level. Most of all, the wine speaks clearly of Nuits-Saint-Georges, while also carrying the lightness and spice of Vosne and the unmistakable signature of Faure. The finish is savoury, textured, and beautifully held.
